Our team started the game with Thompson, Beaubois, Elijah, Ercan, and Poirier in the starting five. Our first points came from Beaubois, and we led 4-3 in the opening minute. Following a close-range basket from Ercan, Beaubois hit two three-pointers, and by the sixth minute the score was tied at 12-12. During this stretch, we forced turnovers with solid defense, and after baskets from Thompson, Elijah, and Smits, we led 18-12 going into the eighth minute. In the remaining minutes of the quarter, Beaubois hit two more three-pointers, and Poirier’s stylish dunk set the score at the end of the first 10 minutes: 26-17.

We opened the second quarter with points from Larkin and Oturu, extending the lead to 30-17 by the 11th minute. Dozier added a three-pointer, and Beaubois, the top scorer of the night, kept contributing, taking the score to 40-31 by 16:30. In the final three minutes of the half, Smits scored inside, and Larkin hit three three-pointers, sending us into halftime with a 51-37 lead.

In the second half, we failed to score in the first 2:30 minutes, and with the score cut to 51-48 by 22:30, coach Luca Banchi called a timeout. After the break, baskets from Poirier and Elijah pushed the score to 60-51 by the 26th minute. Following a quiet couple of minutes, a three-pointer from Smits and a basket from Oturu kept us in the game, but we trailed 67-65 heading into the final quarter.

Our first point in the final period came from Oturu at the free-throw line: 66-70. After points from Dozier and Beaubois, we scored inside with Oturu, closing the gap to 76-78 by 33:30. We converted two defensive rebounds into points with Larkin and Elijah, reclaiming the lead at 80-78 by the 34th minute. Larkin added five more points to make it 84-83 by 35:30, and Elijah followed with a three-pointer, giving us an 87-86 lead by 37:30. With Larkin scoring eight more points, we entered the final 13 seconds of the game ahead 95-92. Dozier added one last basket in the closing moments, sealing a 97-92 victory.
